The beautiful kitchen set is not only depend on its design, materials, models or even its trend, but also depend on its layout. So, you can get a functionality or even comfortable of using its kitchen set. Here are some fundamental theory of Kitchen Set Design that you have to know:

- Work Triangle Layout (Traditional Concept)
There are three main points of kitchen : cleanup, mixing and cooking. Cleanup which consists of sink, dirty dishes place, soap place and spoon-fork place, have to close by refegerator. Mixing have to be set near to knife, cup and another supporting stuff. Cooking Center consists of stove, temporary place for hot-food. Cabinet for flavor, pans or skillet was put close by stove. The ideal layout of kitchen set should have a relationship among sink, mixer, stove and refegerator, because if they are so far each other, it will make mother/servant work harder. In other side, if they are too close, It will cause a bustle of activity. So, that’s way it’s called work triangle. - Multiple Working Centres Layout (Modern Concept)
Kitchen which was designed with more modern style, uses island layout concept. Because of their activity, the family prefer to eat semi-fast food. So, This concept add an element : dishes laid out(counter table), beside three main elements above (cleanup, mixing and cooking). By its concept, designer put a counter table (granit or marble) in the center of kitchen which need a lot more space, to make a cooking preparation easily, etc.
Here are some examples of kitchen set standard layout which can be chosen, according to free-space that you have: I, U, L, Island, Galley and Paninsula.

I Form is the simplest form of kitchen set layout and a little bit unrecomended. But if you don’t have enough space, you can put refegerator, sink and stove according to the picture above. L Form can handle work triangle efficiently. U Form is the most ideal of kitchen set layout because it can handle work triangle very well. Modification of this form are The Island and Paninsula Form.
